The novel, World without Walls by Osy Ugwu

Okwudili leads a revolt against the gods of the land and he is suddenly banished from Umudeshi. He sets out to try life at the end of the world, at the evil forest. With the dreaded wild animals of different species, ready to bite and tear…and with the seemingly voice of hovering spirits in the forest, Okwudili considers submitting himself….

Undeterred by these setbacks and low points, he continues to pursue life, hoping and believing. As if in a trance, he bumps into Epewe Ovoki and his colleagues at the supposed heart of the forest, only to discover soon enough that the world has no walls and that there can be life even beyond the evil forest.

This novel is original, extremely revealing, and undoubtedly engaging. With this piece; Osy Ugwu has carved a niche for himself in the literary world.

The novel has a lot of suspense and perfectly blends the past with the present in such a way that the reader is taken from the known to the unknown without his knowledge. Apart from this, it’s educative and expository. The characters and their actions in the novel are entirely timely and it is a novel that brings to mind our history, past and present mistakes and/or ignorance, and its focus on practical Geology makes it more interesting.

The Writer’s power of description is remarkable. This work is stark, compelling, socially-realistic and hard-to-drop read.
